Owen Sound Wedding Show

I do believe I am ready, well close to being ready for this years bridal show. The Bayshore Broadcasting Bridal Show is this Saturday, January 14th, from 10-3 at the Bayshore Community Centre in Owen Sound.

My photos are planned out, slide show of recent work is set to go, business cards in hand, calendar of available dates marked out and sample albums ready for viewing. All I need to do is load it all up and set-up….just to tear it all down and bring it back, I’m tired just thinking about it. Thankfully I love doing this show every year!! I love visiting with the other vendors whom I see in passing during wedding season, meeting newly engaged couples and seeing some past clients too. If you are going this year make sure to pop by and see me, I’m right beside Williamsford Pie Company {yikes!} in the smaller conference room to the left as you enter the show. If you are a fellow vendor make sure to join us for the ‘before’ party on Friday night after set-up!! It is a great time to chat with other wedding types. Happy New Year!!!

Has it really been, I don’t even want to say, since September? I’m sorry poor blog but it has been a busy fall and holiday season and you, as well as the poor fish tank, are low on the list. So for now a quick post to wish everyone a Happy New Year!!! 2011 was a great year for Christy & Co. Photo and for me personally. My kids are growing at an accelerated rate and doing so well in JK and pre-school. Very proud mama.

I’d like to Thank all my awesome clients for coming back again and again, I love watching your lives evolve in my photos. And to all the new clients I hope to see you in 2012 and beyond also. 2012 is going to be a great year for wedding photography as I am about 90% booked for the peak season. If you are getting married and want me let me know asap and I’ll check your date….I could use a few off-season weddings as always too. I will be at this years Bridal Show on the 14th of January at the Bayshore, say hi if you are there too.

I’ll be back to blog some actual photos very soon, really I will. For now I must clean the fish tank…ah, the glamourous life of a photographer/mama.

Balmy Beach family portrait {Christy & Co Photography}

This portrait in Balmy Beach was shot in July, I wish the weather was like this now! The adult kids got the session for the mom as a birthday gift last winter, such a great gift! I went out to their place and captured the whole family.

My favourite!

Cuteness! Miss O wasn’t my biggest fan but we did get a few smiles from her.

These guys were married at the same location last summer. Great to see the whole crew again!! Thanks for having me.

Kim & Greg are married! {Cobble Beach, Owen Sound Wedding Photography}

Kim & Greg were married in July at Cobble Beach near Owen Sound. They had a great group surrounding them and an awesome day!

A perfect blue sky day!!

Greg had an accident just weeks before the wedding and was still in quite a bit of pain on the big day. He was a trooper and smiled through the photos for me.

I loved the decor for this wedding!! They had a lot of birch accents that looked fabulous.

Their nieces and nephew entertained me all day.

Chris & Linda got married! {Ontario Wedding Photography}

Finally! I’m blogging my first, and closest to my heart, wedding of the year. This is my cousin Chris and his {wife!!!} Linda. They asked me to do their wedding near Woodstock earlier this year and I was thrilled! It was great to be part of their big day. Everything was perfect…maybe a little hot and humid but otherwise just right.

This is their first look, we decided the time line worked better to do most of the photos before the ceremony. This is them seeing each other for the first time.

We stayed at Linda’s family farm but were all over it for the photos.

Um, Thanks? Not sure what I did to deserve this, maybe Joan was nearby and they were aiming for her.

Linda had ordered some fun umbrellas just in case of rain and we ended up using them anyway.

Fireworks!!! This was a total surprise, they did know, I didn’t know. It was a great moment but next time a little heads up to the photographer might be appropriate…not the easiest lighting situation!

It was a great day and weekend away from my kids! Thanks for having me.

Nicole & Matt get Married {Owen Sound Wedding Photographer}

Is this really my first wedding on the blog for this year? This is actually the second wedding I’ve done this year but I seem to have skipped over one…my apologies to Chris & Linda, you can give me trouble at the cottage next week. I had a great time photographing Nicole & Matt’s big day, they have great friends and family and it was really fun!!

Beautiful bride Nicole and her handsome groom below. Wilma’s Flower Shoppe did the flowers and custom boutonniere complete with bullet casing for them, a cute touch.

Their wedding happened to be on the same day as Doors Open Ontario so I was trilled to discover that we were able to shoot INSIDE the More Estate. Nicole teases me about how excited I was.

I love this group shot, great light, great location, great crew…I think the flower girl is fading though!

And done…Miss Flower Girl is officially over me. I love this shot of her!

Pitchers of Beer at each table=awesome idea!!! This was a big hit with the guests.

This was the best mother & daughter dance EVER! {I got it from my mama!}

Tiffany & Will {Christy & Co. Engagement Portraits}

I love doing engagement sessions. It is a great way to warm up for the big event and is much more relaxed then the wedding day! And in a lot of cases, including this one, it is the first time I meet the future bride and groom. So many of my wedding clients don’t currently live in the Owen Sound area but come home to get married. It was great to finally meet Will & Tiffany. We met at Harrison Park for an evening photo session. We had a great time chatting and getting to know each other.
